"Dear Mr. Blackshear:

Thank you so much for participating in the 28th Annual Friends of Black Children conference held November 19-21, 2010. Your enthusiasm, your professionalism, and your genuine interest in motivating our teens, was evident and appreciated. The workshop for the teen girls, and the combined workshop with the teen boys, provided the teens with real experience and tools to use in problem solving. Your honesty about challenges you have encountered, and your message of hope, really captivated each of them. We are hopeful you will agree to work with our teens again, and adoptive parents in the near future."

Best regards,

Ruth Amerson, Founder & CEO

Dear Mr. Blackshear:

"Your efforts as a volunteer to present to our Psychology class with Ms. Peacock on November 22, 2010 were greatly appreciated. Your presentation regarding your organization and the knowledge and insight you have as it relates to human behavior were appreciated. Speaking on social behavior and the impact of negative choices aligned well with the learning objectives of our current curriculum. Thank you for your time speaking to our students."

Sincerely,

Alicia Muhammad, M.Ed., Director of Education

"It was a pleasure to have Mr. William Blackshear as a volunteer community guest on November 22, 2010 to my Introduction to Psychology class. This class is a three credit college course required for degree completion at ECPI College of Technology. The topic of discussion was Social Psychology. Mr. Blackshear was invited to speak on behalf of social behaviors and the affects those decisions made on an individual. Whether these behaviors were direct or indirectly intended for an individual, the lifetime affects can be detrimental towards life satisfaction if positive choices aren’t made to correct them. Mr. Blackshear brought to the classroom environment a wealth of experience and expertise from this subject that inspired, and motivated students to look at other people’s status and situation without judgment and the prevention of pre-judging an individual. The delivery of this topic was from the heart and his candor was felt and greatly appreciated.

We thank you very much for your visit. Your vision in assisting the community with issues and situations in which they have endured will continue to be greatly obliged."

Respectfully,

NaTisha Peacock, M.Ed. Instructor of Psychology

ECPI College of Technology
